Dr. Aria Halliday, IRT ‘11 spoke at the University of California, Berkeley on a panel called “On Erotic Mastery: Pornography, Hip Hop Feminisms, and Transness” on March 1, 2023. The panel was hosted by Dr. Peace and Love El Henson, as part of the Black Studies Collaboratory Open University spring symposium.

Wilson Okello, IRT ‘14 is featured in this article during his keynote speech at the University of Rhode Island’s MLK luncheon. Wilson earned a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership: Student Affairs from Miami (OH) University and holds a M.S. in Human Development & Family Studies from the University of Rhode Island. He is currently an assistant professor at Pennsylvania State University.
Kevin Pajaro-Mariñez, IRT ‘15 is a 2023 fellow in the New Hampshire chapter of the New Leaders Council. Kevin serves as the Inaugural Assistant Director of Equity and Inclusion at Phillips Exeter Academy. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island in communications, as well as a Master’s degree in Student Affairs Administration from Michigan State University. Paulina Jones Torregrosa, IRT ’17 was selected as one of eight Dissertation Fellows in Women’s Studies for 2023 by The Institute for Citizens & Scholars. Paulina is a doctoral candidate in English at Northwestern University. Her dissertation is titled We’re All on the Line: Women of Color Print Solidarities, 1970-1991. The Women’s Studies Fellowship is a national program to support doctoral work on women’s and gender issues. Each 2023 Fellow will receive a $5,000 award to help cover expenses incurred while completing their dissertations.
